Breast reconstruction

Plastic surgeons are an integral part of modern breast cancer treatment and multi-disciplinary care. Dr. Tran will discuss with you the reconstructive options, including implant base, autologous tissue base, and/or a combination of both, depending on your exam and preferences.

Breast reduction

Overly large breasts for your body type and size can often cause a wide variety of recognized symptoms, including back pain, neck pain, and rashes. Breast reduction surgery often help relieve or eliminate these symptoms. This surgery is also often covered by your insurance. Find out if you are a candidate for surgery and discuss your options.

Hand surgery

Some hand conditions that Dr. Tran can treat include:

Burn reconstructive surgery

Burn injuries can cause not only devastating cosmetic deficit, but also functional limitations such as scar band contracture of the neck, joints, and hands. This can cause poor quality of life. Complex and chronic wounds anywhere in the body

If you have chronic wounds that need a surgery to fix, whether using skin grafting, flap surgery, or a combination of both, you've come to the right place. Dr. Tran specializes in treating complex wounds of all kinds, such as from trauma, complication after Orthopedic surgery, chronic infection, and diabetic wounds. Other types of wounds that Dr. Tran can treat include hidradenitis suppuritiva, pressure sores, and leg wounds. Reconstruction after skin cancer

Skin cancer excisions often leave wound defects, especially in sensitive areas such as around the eyes, at the nose, mouth, and ears. One common example is after Mohs surgery for basal cell skin cancer or squamous cell skin cancer. Trust your reconstruction to a Plastic surgeon to restore form and function, and a superior cosmetic result.

Microsurgery

Some wounds or problems require the transfer of tissue from one part of the body to another (free tissue transfer) to treat. This requires the use of an operating microscope and precision instrumentation to repair intricate structures such as blood vessels and nerves less than a few millimeters in diameter! You may be a candidate for this approach if other options have failed in the past. Talk to Dr. Tran to see if you are a surgical candidate. Plastic surgeons have the specialized training to treat complex problems with complex flap surgery, using specialized method like microsurgery.

Peripheral nerve surgery

Dr. Tran can treat neuroma pain such as Phantom limb pain in amputees, or patients who has nerve injury from trauma. Neuropathic pain is typically treated with a multitude of medications such as narcotics and gabapentin. However, this only treat the symptom and is often not enough. Gender affirmation surgery

Transfeminine top surgery and transmasculine top surgery can be done to treat gender dysphoria. The goal is to give transgender individuals the physical appearance and functional abilities of the gender they know themselves to be.

Excisions of lumps, bumps, and skin lesions anywhere on the body, especially the face, ears, and nose.

Dr. Tran can offer surgical removal of common skin lumps, bumps, and lesions in-office, using local anesthetic. Examples include skin moles, skin tags lipomas, foreign bodies, skin cancers, or any suspicious skin lesions.

Scar revisions

Unhappy about hypertrophic scars or keloids, or have scars that causes symptoms such as itchiness, or pain? Dr. Tran can offer scar revisions, either as in-office procedure or in the operating room. Examples include C-section scars, ear keloids, and facial scars from cuts or trauma. Some procedures may be covered by insurance.
